Srinagar, Apr 8 (IBNS ) A day after Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir Mufti Sayeed assured centre of providing land for composite colony for rehabilitation of the displaced Kashmiri Pandits, the separatist leadership opposed it saying the move is a 'conspiracy against Muslims'.

JKLF chairman Yasin Malik said his party will oppose tooth and nail the move to allot such settlements in Kashmir.

"we will protest on Friday and Saturday and there will be a shutdown.," he said adding a separate colony on the basis of religion will only build walls of hate.

PDP spokesperson Md Naeem earlier on Wednesday said, "Government is bound to bring back Kashmiri Pandits who are a part of our life with honour and dignity.

The opposition National Conference has also criticised the government move, saying it will be dangerous for integrity of state and country.

Mufti Mohammad Sayeed during his meeting with Union home minister Rajnath Singh on Monday had assured that the state government will acquire and provide land at the earliest for composite townships for displaced Kashmiri pandit migrants in the valley.
