Ceasefire violation: Pakistan fires small arms, mortars, violates truce on LoC

Jammu, Sep 29 (UNI/IBNS) Pakistan Army on Sunday yet again violated the ceasefire by firing small arms and mortars along the Line of Control in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir.

Defence Spokesman said that at about 1515 hours, Pak initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation in Balakote sector by intense firing of Small arms and shelling with Mortars in Balakote in Mendhar sector of District Poonch.


"Indian Army is retaliating befittingly," he said.


Pakistan army on Saturday also violated the truce by firing unprovoked in Shahpur and Kerni sector of Poonch along the Line of Control.


Earlier on Sep 21, Pakistan violated the ceasefire in the same sector.
