Kolkata, Jan 7 (IBNS): An elderly man was allegedly beaten up by few on-duty police personnel for protesting against their oppression in Kolkata's twin city Howrah on Sunday, reports said.

According to reports, few personnel of Howrah City Police's traffic department were allegedly beating a truck driver for entering into a 'no-entry' zone.

When a senior passenger of a bus passing by protested against it, at least three policemen got into the bus and attacked the elderly man.

Besides assaulting him, those cops also hurled several abusive words and racist comments at the old man.
