Case against Sonia Gandhi for remark on PM CARES fund

Sagar, (Shivamogga Dt)/UNI: A case has been registered against Congress president Sonia Gandhi at the city Police station here over her recent remark on PM CARES fund.

According to police sources, Praveenkumar, an advocate had registered a complaint with the police, taking objection to the Congress president’s remark on PM CAREs fund on Covid-19.

The petitioner, in his complaint, has stated that Ms Gandhi in her Twitter message had charged that fund generated under PM CARE fund is not being utilised for the poor and is being used for other purposes.

The complainant had stated that the Congress President’s remark on PM CARE fund, was in a nature to create mistrust against Prime Minister.

The remark of the Congress president on PM CARE fund was also intended to create misunderstanding among the people against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Police sources told UNI that a complaint had been registered and an FIR was also filed, in response to the complaint on Wednesday.
