Kolkata, Feb 3 (IBNS): State BJP vice-president and spokesperson Jay Prakash Majumder, who was arrested by Bidhannagar City Police in January for allegedly cheating TET (Teachers' Eligibility Test) candidates, was granted conditional bail from the Calcutta High Court on Friday.

Calcutta HC's Justice Joymalya Bagchi granted the BJP leader bail on two surety bail bonds of rupees 10000 each.

The court has also imposed a condition on the bail- Majumder has to meet the investigating officer (IO) twice in every week until further order/direction.

Earlier on Jan 14, after a marathon interrogation, police booked Jay Prakash Majumder for allegedly cheating at least Rs. 7 lakh from TET candidates.
