Cab drivers block Delhi-Noida expressway protesting SC order against diesel taxi

New Delhi, May 3 (IBNS) Continuing their agitation for the second day, taxi drivers in the national capital on Tuesday morning blocked Delhi-Noida expressway protesting the Supreme Court ban on diesel cabs, reports said.

The blockade stalled many vehicles leading to a jam.

On Monday, movement  of vehicular traffic remained crippled for a long time  in a large part of Delhi as cab drivers blocked traffic in West Delhi's Rajkori area.

The Supreme court on Saturday had refused to give more time to taxi operators to switch to CNG and  banned the diesel-based taxis  in Delhi and National Capital Region (NCR) from May 1.
