BSP will balance power at the Centre post Lok Sabha election: Mayawati

| @indiablooms | Apr 10, 2019, at 07:49 pm

Mysuru, Apr 10 (UNI): BSP supremo Mayawati attacked the BJP and the opposition Congress, alleging both parties failed to address the problems of the weaker sections in the country and her party will be aiming for balance power when formation of the next government at the centre comes to a question.

Addressing her first rally in the state in the city of palaces, she lashed out at the Congress, saying the party which ruled the country for 70 years had miserably failed to ensure social justice and empowerment of the weaker sections of the society resulting its rule had been rejected in many states and at the Centre.

The BSP chief claimed that the BJP had also been following in the Congress' footsteps. BJP and its RSS’s aggressive posture had created more problems for the weaker sections and minorities in the country.

Stating that both the BJP and Congress were corrupt, she said: "If the Congress party had Bofors, the BJP is tainted by the Rafale deal. So both should be rejected by the voters.”

The BSP supremo said the party did not believe in manifestos.

“Unlike the BJP and the Congress, we don’t believe in boasting. We get things done,” she said.

Congress want to put country at stake for votes, but people will thwart its design. Congress manifesto is a "show-off", she said.

Taking a dig at Narendra Modi and BJP new campaign whether it is a "chaiwallah or a chowkidar" who did not perform will be rejected by the people.

Stating that the BSP-SP-RLD pact was not limited to the Lok Sabha elections, Mayawati said: “We will fight the next Assembly elections together and root out the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh.”

Claiming the BJP was afraid of the SP-BSP-RLD alliance, Mayawati said: "They (BJP) are so afraid that instead of talking of issues, they indulge in unnecessary casteist statements."

"I have a lot of experience as an administrator. I will use that experience at the Centre and work for people's welfare," Mayavati said.

She pointed out that her party had garnered the third-largest vote share in the 2014 election, after the BJP and the Congress and it would improve in this Lok Sabha election.
