BSF troops nab lady with 1200 numbers Yaba tablets in Assam’s Dhubri

Guwahati, Jul 4 (IBNS): The Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended a lady along with huge quantity of contraband drugs in Assam’s Dhubri district along with Indo-Bangladesh border on Wednesday, officials said on Thursday.

According to the reports, the BSF troops of Guwahati Frontier apprehended one Indian lady along with 1200 numbers of Yaba tablets from bordering area of Takamari in Dhubri district.

Acting on tip off, on Wednesday at about 6-15 pm, boat checking party of BSF troops of Border Out Post (BOP) Takamari apprehended one Indian lady along with 1200 Nos of Yaba tablets during search, while she was trying to smuggle from India to Bangladesh.

The apprehended lady was identified as 42-year-old Hamiya Biwi and she hails from Takamari area in Dhubri district.

Later, she was handed over to Dhubri police for further legal action.
