Jalandhar/UNI: Troops of the Border Security Force launched a special coordinated drill to target the enemy-controlled drones in the area of responsibility of the Ferozepur sector Friday night.

A spokesperson of the Punjab Frontiers headquarters of the BSF here said on Saturday that the vigilant troops of the BSF heard the humming/buzzing sound of the drone and got alerted.

During the drill schedule, the troops fired upon the drone and the area was consequently cordoned off.

The sister agencies were duly informed. A special search operation was also carried out.

Nothing suspicious was recovered from the area.

It was a well-planned and synchronized effort of the BSF to target the drones.
