| @indiablooms | Sep 19, 2018, at 04:33 pm

Srinagar, Sept 19 (IBNS): Pakistani troops have slit the throat of an Indian BSF jawan in Ramgarh sub-sector of Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district on Tuesday, media reports said.

“The jawan was hit by precision fire on right side of his chest and on left leg. His throat was found half slit. His weapon was also confiscated,” said the source to Hindustan Times.

The body also had multiple knife wounds, sources added.

The killed jawan was identified as Head Constable Narender Kumar.

The BSF, however, said the jawan was killed during 'unprovoked' Pakistani firing.

"DG #BSF and all ranks salute the supreme sacrifice of Head Constable Narender Kumar & offer condolence to the family of the braveheart. HC Narender attained martyrdom on 18 Sep,2018 in an unprovoked Pak firing across #Jammu #IB #अमरप्रहरी#BharatKeVeer," the BSF tweeted.
