Patna, Sep 12 (The Bihar Post/IBNS): In a bizarre incident, a man from Bihar found himself alive during an attempted suicide as the noose he used for hanging himself broke in the nick of time.

As per reports, Dr Prashant Kumar, a junior resident doctor at Patna’s All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS), tried to kill himself by hanging from the ceiling of his room on Sunday afternoon but the noose broke, and he fell on the ground, safe.

Hearing the sound of fall, other doctors rushed to his room, broke open the door and got him admitted to the hospital.

He was unconscious when admitted to the hospital but his condition is out of danger now, reports said

As per reports in the local media, he was mentally disturbed after being denied leave.

“We have been informed he was under depression after being denied leave to go home by the hospital administration,” dean Dr Sadhna Sharma was quoted as saying in the local media on Monday.
