Delhi: A minor boy died on Sunday after an iron block fell on his head while he was standing under an under-construction overbridge in Delhi, media reports said.

The incident happened near Thokar No. 18 on Pusta Road during the ongoing work on the Delhi-Dehradun flyover.

A heavy piece of iron dislodged from the construction site and it accidentally fell off and hit the boy.

His body was shifted to SDN Hospital for Medico-Legal Case (MLC) and post-mortem, police said, ANI reported.

A case under IPC Section 304 (A) has been filed against the contractor, police added.
