Mumbai/UNI: The Bombay High Court has imposed a ban on all construction activities for four days preceding Diwali following an alarming decline in Mumbai's air quality.

Amid escalating concerns over the air quality, the court issued a series of crucial directives to address the problem.

The Bombay High Court imposed a comprehensive ban on the transportation of construction debris to and from construction sites.

In a bid to curtail particulate matter and dust emissions, all construction materials must now be transported in fully covered trucks or mixer plants, ensuring that the transportation process is environmentally responsible.
