BJP's Karnataka MLA BN Vijay Kumar dies, Amit Shah condoles

Bengaluru, May 4 (IBNS): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA in Karnataka, BN Vijay Kumar,  passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest on Wednesday night.

Kumar, a two-time MLA from Jayanagar in Bengaluru, suffered the heart attack during an election rally in Bengaluru.

He was also the BJP's candidate from Jayanagar in the state polls, which is scheduled to be held on May 12.

Expressing his grief over Kumar's demise, BJP national president Amit Shah tweeted, "Pained to know about the demise of Shri B N Vijaykumar ji, our candidate from Jayanagar, Bengaluru. My deepest condolences to his family & followers in this hour of grief. He had been a dedicated karyakarta & two term MLA who was loved & admired by all. Om Shanti Shanti Shanti"

The BJP is eyeing on to return to power in Karnataka.
