BJP's Kailash Vijayvargiya suspects workers at his home to be 'Bangladeshis' as they eat 'only poha'

Indore/IBNS: In a bizarre comment, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Kailash Vijayvargiya has recently said he suspected that some of the construction workers at his home to be "Bangladeshis" as they used to eat "only Poha", media reports said.

Speaking in favour of the Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) at a seminar here, Vijayvargiya said as quoted by media, "When a new room was being added at my house recently, I found eating habits of some of the workers "strange" as "they were eating only `poha' (flattened rice)."

The BJP leader, who is also the general secretary of the party, said he had suspected them to be "Bangladeshis" and two days after his suspicion, the workers had stopped working at his house.

However, he has not filed any police complaint against the workers yet.

"I mentioned this incident only to warn people," Vijayvargiya added.

Backing the CAA, the former Indore Mayor said only genuine refugees will be put to asylums. The Act will also identify intruders who pose a threat to the internal security of the country, added the leader.
