Agartala, Feb 28 (IBNS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to terminate the 25 years of Left rule in the eastern state of Tripura, according to the exit polls.

In all the exit polls which were released on Tuesday, BJP has been predicted to make inroad into Tripura.

According to Axis Poll, BJP will get 45-50 seats while CPI-M could get just 9-10 seats.

News X predicted BJP along with its ally IPFT to bag 35-45 seats as opposed to Left's 14-23 seats.

Both the exit polls suggested a dismal show for the Congress in the state.

If the predictions turn out to be true, the Left will lose one of its two present bastions in the country.

The Tripura poll was held on February 18.

Apart from Tripura, the exit polls have also predicted the fate of the political parties in Nagaland and Meghalaya, where elections were held on Monday.

According to News X, BJP is set to win in Nagaland with a 27-32 seats while Congress would be reduced to mere 0-2 seats.

In Meghalaya, the exit polls have hinted at a hung assembly.

According to Axis MyIndia, Congress will get 20, BJP 5 and NPP 14 seats in Meghalaya.

News X predicted Congress to bag 13-17, NPP 23-27 as opposed to BJP's 8-12 seats in the northeastern state.

Meghalaya has been predicted to be the only state where Congress will win more number of seats that the BJP.

The poll results in all the three states will come out on March 3.
