BJP in Goa announces candidates for Lok Sabha elections, by-polls

Panaji, Mar 25 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Goa unit President Vinay Tendulkar on Monday announced that North Goa MP Shripad Naik and South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar will contest Lok Sabha elections from their respective constituencies.

Addressing a press conference at the party state headquarters in the city, he said as far as by-elections were concerned Dayanand Sopte would contest from Mandrem constituency, Subhash Shirodkar from Shiroda and former Deputy Chief Minister Francis D'Souza's son Joshua from Mapusa constituency.

The by-elections and Lok Sabha elections are to be held together on April 23, 2019.
