Patna/Lucknow, Mar 14 (IBNS): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading in two of the three by-poll seats in Bihar while surging ahead of the Samajwadi Party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh's Gorakhpur constituency, media reports said.

According to latest trends, the BJP is leading in Arnia parliamentary constituency and Bhabua assembly seat in Bihar.

The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is leading in Jehanabad assembly seat of Bihar.

In Uttar Pradesh, the BJP is leading in the Gorakhpur seat, which was vacated by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath after assuming office in 2017.

The Gorakhpur seat has been a strong hold of the BJP for the past  20 years.

However, the BJP is trailing in Phulpur Lok Sabha seat, which was vacated by Keshav Prasad Maurya when he became the deputy CM of the state in 2017.

Akhilesh Yadav's SP is leading in the Phulpur seat.
