BJP floor test in Goa Assembly tomorrow

Panaji, Mar 19 (UNI) The BJP-led coalition government in Goa will go for a floor test in the state Assembly on Wednesday with Goa governor Mridula Sinha calling a day-long session of the House.

A statement from the department of information and publicity said: "Governor Mridula Sinha has summoned the Legislative Assembly of the State of Goa, to meet at Assembly Hall on March 20, 2019 at 11.30 am."

Chief minister Pramod Sawant had said on Monday that the government had recommended that floor test be done on Wednesday and on Tuesday, after taking charge as chief minister, he exuded confidence to win the test.

In the 36-member House, the BJP coalition enjoys support of 20 MLAs including 12 from BJP, three each from Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP) and Goa Forward Party (GFP) and Independents.
