Agartala, Oct 1 (IBNS): Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb has made another controversial remark when he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's brother drives an autorickshaw and another is a grocer.

Deb made the remarks while addressing at a public gathering recently.

"His one brother runs a grocery shop while the other one drives an auto. Their mother lives in a 10 by 12 room. Can you name me any Prime Minister like him in this world, " Deb was quoted as saying by the media to a gathering.

Biplab Deb led his BJP to victory in the Assembly polls in Tripura this year.

He removed the Left government in the state.

He took oath as the Chief Minister of the east Indian state.

However, his remarks have triggered controversies often.

He earlier said internet used to exist during the time of Mahabharata.

Biplab Deb was quoted as saying during a public event by The Economic Times: "India has been using internet since ages. In Mahabharata, Sanjay was blind but he narrated what was happening in the battlefield to Dhritarashtra anyway."

"This was due to internet and technology. The satellite also existed during that period," he said.
