Superintendent of Police (SP) Laxmi Niwas Mishra said here on Saturday, that police raided the farm house of the BSP leader situated at Begwal area after getting information about slaughtering of the animals.

He said while six people were arrested from the spot, seven others managed to flee. A case has been registered against 13 people.

Though the police has not filed any case against the BSP leader yet, the SP said investigation was underway.

The SP said that police had recovered two quintal of animal flesh from the farm house.

Veera joined the BSP just before the last Lok Sabha polls and contested the polls after parting ways with the Samajwadi Party.
