Gaya, May 17 (IBNS) Manorama Devi was sent to 14 days' judicial custody after the absconding Bihar lawmaker surrendered to the court on Tuesday, according to media reports.
Earlier, on Wednesday, the Bihar government issued an arrest warrant against JDU legislator Manorama Devi (now suspended by her party) following the recovery of liquor bottles from her residence in Gaya town.

The state has been under total prohibition since April 1.

According to media reports, Manorama Devi has alleged that she is being framed by the BJP and no liquor bottles were found at her house.

Manorama Devi's son Rocky, who had allegedly shot dead Aditya Sachadeva, a 19-year-old son of a businessman for overtaking his vehicle, was arrested from a house in Bodh Gaya.
