Bihar: Cop among two arrested for extorting money

Dehri-on-Sone, May 11 (UNI) Two people, including an assistant police sub-inspector, were arrested after they were found guilty of extorting money from drivers of sand laden trucks on Dehri-Vikramganj road under Dalmianagar police station area in Rohtas district late last night.

Police Superintendent Satyaveer Singh said that assistant sub-inspector of Dalmianagar police station Satyendra Chaudhary and driver of patrolling vehicle Sanjay Kumar Rai were arrested when they were found guilty of extorting money from drivers of sand laden trucks and tractors. He said an FIR had been registered against them under sections 1988, 384, 120 and 34 of Indian Penal Code.

Further investigation was on, police added.
