Kolkata, Apr 19 (IBNS):CPI-M Politburo member and former Chief Minister of West Bengal Buddhadeb Bhattacharya on Tuesday led a campaign rally in south Kolkata for ongoing assembly elections in the state.

The march was organized in support of CPI-M's candidates for the Jadavpur, Tollygunge and Kasba constituencies- Sujan Chakraborty, Madhuja Sen Roy and Satarup Ghosh respectively.

The rally started from Dhakuria Bus Stand area and concluded at Garia More area in south Kolkata.

Besides the leader-activists of CPI-M and its ally Congress, many general people walked in the rally here, claimed a party leader.

CPI-M leader Sujan Chakraborty said, "The huge participation of general people in this rally is very positive. We are very grateful to Buddhadeb Bhattacharya for his presence."
