Kolkata, Jun 11 (IBNS): One person was killed and several others were injured in a bomb attack which took place at Kankinara in North 24 Parnagas of West Bengal last night, media reports said.

Mukhtar's wife was also among those who were injured.

Kankinara is located in Bhatpara, which saw a widespread violence during the assembly by-elections in 2019.

The Bhatpara constituency had fallen vacant after sitting MLA Arjun Singh left the Trinamool Congress (TMC), joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and contested from Barrackpore Lok Sabha seat.
