Bangladesh: Textile mill fire kills 6

Dhaka, Sept 20 (IBNS): At least six people were killed when a fire broke out at a factory building in Bangladesh's Sadar upazila of Munshuganj on Wednesday, media reports said.

Three of the deceased were identified as Nazmul, 20, Israt, 18, and Ujjal, 20, oThe Daily Star reported quoting police.

The fire ripped through Charmuktapur Ideal Textile Mill, which presumably originated at its godown around 9:45am, said Zainal Abedin, in-charge of Mukterpur River police camp told the newspaper.

Four units of firefighters from Munshiganj and Narayanganj went to the dpot and brought the fire under control.

Police have detained four people so far, media reports said.
