New Delhi, Aug 16 (IBNS): Union Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda said the health condition of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee is still critical.

He is still on life support.

Nadda said the AIIMS, where Vajpayee has been admitted for several weeks, will issue a routine medical bulletin shortly.

Vajpayee, 93, was admitted to the AIIMS with a kidney tract infection, urinary tract infection, low urine output and chest congestion.

He is under the supervision of Dr Randeep Guleria, the Director of AIIMS, who has been his personal physician for decades.

Vajpayee, whose first term as the Prime Minister lasted only 13 days in 1996, was the Prime Minister from 1998 to 2004.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, his cabinet colleagues, several Chief Ministers visited him at the AIIMS on Thursday.

The administration has asked the people to avoid the roads leading to AIIMS.
