Assam to replace all lighting by LED bulbs in all government hospitals, schools by Oct 2

Guwahati, Aug 16 (IBNS) :A The Assam government will replace all lighting in all government hospitals and educational institutions across the state with LED bulbs by Oct 2 this year.

Assam Health and Education minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday said  the state government has decided to replace all lighting in all government hospitals and educational institutions in the state with LED bulbs by Oct 2.

“We are looking to conserve energy, power and for this initiative we have decided to introduce it firstly in all government hospitals and educational institutions,” the minister said.

On the other hand, the minister said that, the state government will establish 12 new colleges in the state in next year.
