Assam : Seven killed, 15 injured in three road mishaps

Guwahati, May 9 (IBNS) : At least seven people were killed and 15 injured in three separate road mishaps in Assam in the past 24 hours.

According to the reports, four labourers were killed when a wood-laden truck overturned at Hahim Lalmati area under Boko police station in Kamrup district on Tuesday morning.

An official of Boko police station said  the driver of the mini truck had lost control over the vehicle and it overturned on the road killing four labourers on the spot.

The deceased have been identified as  Robin Rabha, Sanjay Rabha, Rane Rabha and Chintu Rabha.

In another incident, two persons  died and nine others, including a child, injured, when a vehicle carrying a marriage party hit a stationary truck on roadside  Sarbhog area in lower Assam's Barpeta district on Monday night.

The injured persons were admitted at Barpeta Medical College Hospital.

One person was killed and six others were injured when a speeding vehicle fell into a river at Sarupathar area in Golaghat district on Monday night.
