Assam Rifles seized contraband liquor in Manipur's Tengnoupal

Imphal: Tengnoupal Battalion, under the aegis of IGAR (South), recovered a large stash of liquor near Tarao Road junction in Manipur's Tengnoupal district on Friday.

Based on intelligence input, troops of Assam Rifles launched a search operation at Tarao Road junction area and recovered 64 packages concealed in the jungles.

The security personnel had found foreign origin liquor worth Rs 5.24 Lakh in the packages.

The seized contraband was handed over to Customs Department Pallel for further investigation.
