Assam Rifles nab NSCN (K-YA) militant with arms in Nagaland

Guwahati/IBNS: Security forces have apprehended a militant of NSCN (K-YA) along with arms in Nagaland’s Zunheboto.

Based on intelligence input about presence of a militant of NSCN (K-YA) faction, the troops of Assam Rifles had launched operation at Zunheboto town area on Monday night and apprehended a militant.

The apprehended militant was identified self styled Sergeant Major Bokaho Yeptho.

Security personnel have recovered one point 22mm US made pistol and nine numbers of non local identity cards of GPRN in possession from him.

Later, the apprehended militant alongwith recoveries were handed over to Zunheboto police station for further investigation on Tuesday.
