Assam Rifles apprehend three arms dealers in Nagaland, seize arms, drugs

Guwahati: Troops of Assam Rifles apprehended three arms dealers and seized a large number of illegal arms in Nagaland’s Dimapur district.

In a joint operation with police, Assam Rifles troops apprehended two arms dealers with illegal arms, contraband drugs at general area Nagarjan in Dimapur district.

Based on specific input, security forces in a joint operation with state police apprehended two arms dealers and recovered four point 32 pistols with magazines and Spasmo Proxyvon Tablets worth approx Rs1.5 lakh at general area Nagarjan.

The apprehended persons were handed over to East Police Station, Dimapur district for further investigations.

In a separate operation, security forces in a joint operation with state police apprehended an arms dealer and recovered three point 32 pistols with magazines and one bike at general area Selouphe village in Dimapur district on Oct 22.

The apprehended arms dealer was handed over to Diphupar police station in Dimapur district for further investigations.
