Assam joins celebration of International Yoga Day

Guwahati, June 21 (IBNS): Assam on Friday joined the rest of the country in observing the International Day of Yoga with state Chief Minister Sarbanada Sonowal participating at the state level programme at Sarusajai stadium in Guwahati.

Along with others, the Assam CM performed yoga.

Apart from Assam CM, his cabinet colleagues, MLAs have also participated in the Yoga Day celebrations.

On the occasion of fifth International Day for Yoga, the saints performed yoga asanas at Kamakhya temple in Guwahati.

Several saints had participated in the celebrations of the International Day for Yoga

International Day for Yoga is celebrated annually across the world on June 21 since 2015.
