Assam: Four forest personnel killed, two injured in road mishap in Sivasagar

Guwahati, Aug 30 (IBNS): At least four forest personnel were killed and two others injured in a road mishap in Assam’s Sivasagar district on Friday morning.

The incident took place at Suntolisiga area near Gaurisagar in Sivasagar district.

According to the reports, a speedy passenger bus hit a forest vehicle while the forest personnel travelling in the vehicle were returned from the duty.

Four forest personnel including a driver died on spot and two others were injured in the incident.

The deceased persons were identified as Prashanta Dutta, Bipul Hazarika, Nizamuddin and Priyam Mech.

The injured forest personnel named Bubul Baruah and Nazimuddin were rushed to a hospital.
