Assam: Four forest department staff die in mishap

Guwahati, Aug 30 (UNI) At least four employees of Forest department of Assam were killed and two others injured in a road accident in Gaurisagar area in Sivsagar district of Assam today.

Official sources said the vehicle in which the victims were returning from duty skidded and overturned, leading to the accident in the morning hours.

Four of the persons travelling in the vehicle were killed on the spot, while two others were injured and have been rushed to nearby hospitals.

State Forest Minister Parimal Suklabaidya offered his condolences to the families of the deceased and issued instructions for all necessary treatment of the injured.
