Assam floods drown at least 13 rhinos

Guwahati, Aug 2 (IBNS): At least 13 one horned rhinos have drowned in the prevailing Assam floods, reports said.

These rhinos are mostly calves, barely a year old.

The flood-hit Kaziranga forest houses approximately 2400 one horned rhinoceros, who are under threat as almost 70 percent of the park is underwater.
