Guwahati, May 4 (IBNS): Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi on Monday accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of practicing narrow politics by proposing to exclude Assam from the purview of the Land Boundary Agreement ( LBA), popularly known as Land Swap Deal with Bangladesh.

"BJP has practiced narrow politics with the Land Swap Deal. Their stands not cleared in any moment, " Assam CM said here.

"Aspires to come to power in next Assembly poll in Assam, BJP has now played narrow politics with the state by exclude the state from the purview of the LBA," Gogoi said.

Attacking to PM Modi, Gogoi said that, you have one stand before poll and another after.

Congress has opposed the BJP's proposed constitution ammendment bill to exclude Assam from the purview of the LBA.

Gogoi said that the Union Government should have consulted with the states before any change in the LBA.

On other hand, Assam CM had slammed to the Modi government for cut of funds in various development schemes in the present financial year.

"Assam had deprived from the Modi government in development issues, " Gogoi said.
