Arvind Kejriwal begins big roadshow ahead of filing nomination

New Delhi, Jan 20 (IBNS) Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal pulled off a big show of strength in the national capital on Tuesday as armed with his party symbol brooms a huge road show began ahead of his filing the nomination papers for the Delhi assembly polls.

AAP members and supporters turned up in large number on the streets with flags carrying the image of Kejriwal as they began their roadshow from Valmiki Sadan, the quarters of the sanitation workers linked to Mahatma Gandhi.

Kejriwal, who waved people from his vehicle, will stop at various places on way to filing his nomination paper.

Earlier, a day after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) named Kiran Bedi as their chief ministerial candidate for the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls,  Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday invited the former top cop for a public debate.

"@thekiranbedi congrats 4 being nominated as BJP's CM candidate. I invite u 4 a public debate moderated by neutral person n telecast by all," Kejriwal tweeted.

He also asked Bedi to 'unblock' him on micro-blogging site Twitter.

".@thekiranbedi Kiranji, i used to follow u on twitter. Now, u have blocked me on twitter. Kindly unblock me," the former Delhi CM tweeted.

Kiran Bedi said he accepted the challenge for a debate but only on the floor of Delhi Assembly.

Kejriwal will contest the polls from New Delhi seat. Delhi Assembly elections will be held on Feb. 7.

Meanwhile, Congress leader Ajay Maken also accepted the challenge for a debate and said he is ready for a debate too as it is a good way to reach out to people if they are moderated by a person acceptable to all three candidates (Kejriwal, Bedi, himself).
