Arunachal: Two militants, one civilian killed in clash between NSCN-IM and NSCN-U

Guwahati, May 31 (IBNS): At least three persons including two Naga militants were killed in a factional clash between two groups of NSCN-IM and NSCN-U in Arunachal Pradesh’s Tirap district.

The incident took place at Namsang village near Deomali area in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to the reports, an armed group of NSCN-IM led by self styled Captain Victor Tangkhul attacked a camp of NSCN-U.

During the gun battle, two NSCN-U militants and a civilian were killed.

Among the deceased one militant was identified as self styled Captain Rusam Geoang and the civilian has been identified as Rafal Ali.

The NSCN-IM militant group took away the weapons of NSCN-U.

A top police source said that, the NSCN-U group had kidnapped the civilian and took shelter in the area.
