Arunachal Pradesh CM Pema Khandu takes oath, PM Modi wishes him

Itanagar, May 29 (IBNS): Pema Khandu on Wednesday took oath as the Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh.

 

Governor Brig. (retd.) B.D. Mishra administered  the oath of office and secrecy during the ceremony held in the Dorjee Khandu Convention Centre here.

Eleven Ministers also took oath during the ceremony here.

At a time Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party scripted victory in the Lok Sabha polls, Pema took the charge as the BJP clinched 41 seats in the 60-member Assembly in the state.

Wishing Pema, Narendra Modi tweeted: " Congratulations to the dynamic @PemaKhanduBJP on being sworn in as the CM of Arunachal Pradesh. Best wishes to him and his team in taking Arunachal Pradesh to newer heights of growth and glory. Looking forward to working together for the state’s citizens, especially the youth."
