Jammu, Aug 9 (UNI): Jammu district administration on Friday lifted restrictions imposed under Section 144 of CrPC and ordered opening of all educational institutions from Saturday onwards.

An order issued by the Sub District Magistrate/Deputy Commissioner Jammu said that the restrictions under Sec 144 are withdrawn and all schools, colleges and other educational institutions will resume functioning normal from August 10 (Saturday).

Jammu University spokesperson said schedule of admissions, classwork and examinations will be notified separately.

Section 144 was imposed in Jammu district on August 5 after Article 370 of the Constitution was abrogated which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir and the state bifurcated into two Union Territories.

Schools will also open in Samba, Kathua, Udhampur and Reasi, reports said.
The commercial transport hit the roads soon after restrictions were lifted.
