Army, Meghalaya Police kill two terrorists in joint operation near Assam border

Shillong, June 28 (IBNS): In a joint operation, the Indian army and the Meghalaya Police killed two terrorists in the North Garo Hills district of the state on Sunday.
According to reports, after receiving specific inputs, security forces ambushed the terrorists near the Assam-Meghalaya border.
 
At around 4:40 AM on Sunday, the terrorists opened indiscriminate fire after spotting the security forces, CNN-IBN reported.
 
Two terrorists were killed as a result of retaliatory attack.
 
One of the victims has been identified as Jimmy alias Laknu, who is a wanted terrorist and was responsible for laying ambushes on Meghalaya Police.
