Army Commander's Conference commences in New Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 13 (IBNS) The Army Commander's Conference commenced on Monday here.

The conference was chaired by Chief of Army Staff, Gen Dalbir Singh.

The four days conference is the highest level Military Conference and is held bi-annually to discuss current internal and external strategic issues, review of operational preparedness of the Indian Army and aspects pertaining to military technology and force modernization.

Army Commanders of all Operational Commands, Strategic Forces Command, Army Training Command and the Principal Staff Officers  from the Army Headquarters are in attendance.

The Army Commanders Conference will conclude with the Combined Commanders Conference on Oct 17. It will be chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
