Armed man fires at top pharma company chairman in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, Nov 19 (IBNS) N Reddy, chairman of one of the leading pharmaceutical companies, Aurobindo Pharma, was shot at by an unidentified assailant with an AK 47 rifle during the morning walk on Wednesday here though he escaped the bid with minor injuries.

Media reports said it could be a bid to kidnap him at the KBR Park in Banjara Hills area. Reddy was about to board his car after a morning walk when the incident occurred.

Reddy said he and his brother had tried to resist the man and catch him but he left the spot after firing at their car some rounds.
 
The incident occurred around 7am and the man also had got into his car's rear seat before he fired.
