Allahabad High Court orders CBI probe for Bulandshahr gang-rape case

Allahabad, Aug 12 (IBNS) : The Allahabad high Court on Friday ordered a CBI probe into the Bulandshahr gangrape case, reports said.

Acting on a Public Interest Litigation the High Court gave the order that came a day after the  Uttar Pradesh government  filed a status report on the investigation into the incident.

A gang of robbers raped a woman and her 13-year-old daughter at gunpoint after dragging them out of a car in Bulandshahr on NH-91 when they were travelling with their family from Noida to Shahjahanpur on July 29.

Altogether six people, including the main accused, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
