Allahabad, Aug 26 (IBNS): The Allahabad HC on Friday stayed the arrest of Mohammad Akhlaq's family in the Dadri lynching case, according to media reports.

However, the court refused to stay the arrest of Akhlaq's brother, Jaan Mohammed.

Moahmmed Akhlaq was lynched to death by a mob who alleged that the family had slaughtered a cow, an act banned in Uttar Pradesh.

The court was hearing a petition filed by Jaan Mohammed and others where they claimed they had been falsely framed, media reported.
