Lucknow/UNI: Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav hinted on Wednesday that Dara Singh Chauhan, who resigned as the Forest and Environment Minister in Uttar Pradesh, has joined his party.

On the other hand, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya urged Chauhan to reconsider his decision.

After Chauhan sent his resignation to Governor Anandiben Patel, Akhilesh Yadav tweeted: "Hearty welcome and greetings to Dara Singh Chouhanji, the relentless fighter of the struggle for 'social justice'. The SP and its allies will unitedly take the movement of equality and equality to the extreme…Will eliminate discrimination. This is our collective resolve. Respect for everyone, space for everyone."

Akhilesh Yadav also shared his picture with Chauhan on social media.

However, Chauhan said: "I will take a call after consulting my supporters, workers and all those due to whom I am in politics. Things will unfold gradually with time."
