New Delhi: German Ambassador to India Philipp Ackermann joined the 'Naatu Naatu' fever as he was seen in a viral video dancing to the highly appreciated Oscar-winning track with his team in old Delhi recently.

The envoy shared his video on Twitter and netizens have loved his way of celebrating the Indian track's Oscar victory.

Philipp Ackermann tweeted: "Germans can't dance? Me & my Indo-German team celebrated #NaatuNaatu’s victory at #Oscar95 in Old Delhi. Ok, far from perfect. But fun!"Thanks@rokEmbIndiafor inspiring us. Congratulations & welcome back@alwaysRamCharan&@RRRMovieteam! #embassychallange is open. Who's next?" he said.

British High Commissioner to India Alex Ellis reacted to the video and wrote in the comment section: "Hmmm. Interesting."

South Korea earlier showed the way:

However, the German envoy is not the first foreign official to create such a video as the South Korean Ambassador to India Chang Jae-bok had earlier danced to the popular Indian movie track in another video, which also went viral on the social media.

The Korean Embassy staff joined the celebration with the envoy by dancing to the song which is a part of RRR movie.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had described it as a 'lively and adorable team effort'.

India shined at the ongoing Oscars as 'Naatu Naatu' from the RRR movie won the title for 'Best Original Song' last Sunday.

The Oscars was awarded to composer MM Keeravaani and lyricist Chandrabose.

Actors Ram Charan and Jr NTR featured in the viral song which has been making a strong presence felt across several international award ceremonies in recent months.

The song had earlier made an impressive run when it clinched the Golden Globe for Best Original Song in January.

The song was also performed live during the Oscars event.

‘RRR’ is a Telugu action drama, starring NTR Jr, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran, among others.
