After BTC, BJP registers landslide victory in Assam’s Tiwa Autonomous Council election

Guwahati/IBNS: After its victory in the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), the ruling BJP has registered landslide victory in Tiwa Autonomous Council (TAC) election also.

The Tiwa Autonomous Council (TAC) election result was declared on Saturday in which BJP won 33 out of 36 council seats.

BJP’s ally party Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) had bagged two council seats while the people had again rejected opposition Congress and the party just won one council seat.

The Tiwa Autonomous Council (TAC) election was held on Dec 17 in parts of Morigaon, Nagaon, Hojai and Kamrup (Metro) districts.

Ahead of the assembly polls in Assam, the BJP has registered triumph in two council elections in the state.
