Aditya's proposal on Mumbai nightlife accepted by CM

Mumbai, Feb 17 (IBNS): Yuva Sena chief Aditya Thackeray on Tuesday said Maharashtra chief minister Devendra Fadnavi has accepted his proposal on reviving Mumbai's nightlife.

"Tweeps the GOOD News is CM has accepted my proposal of nightlife and assured me tht necessary amendments to laws by March/August Session," Thackeray tweeted.

"At the same momentum, Mumbaikars will have a time zone at night to chill in soon! I will ensure this happens," he said.

He said: "I truly believe that this well deserved for Mumbai will not only boost the core economy but also the ancillary industries like transport."

Thackeray said shops and Establishments Act, and Police Act needs amendment which will be tabled in 'either budget or monsoon sessions of Assembly'.


He had earlier said that non residential areas like Kala Ghoda, Nariman Point, BKC, Malls, Mill-Malls can be made 'Special Entertainment zones' at night.

He said the Mumbai Police have accepted his proposal.

"Tweeps! Some GOOD NEWS!! My Nightlife proposal for Mumbai has been given a go ahead by Mumbai Police!! So now we move to the next step- CM," he had earlier tweeted on Saturday.

The city currently has a 1.30 am deadline for restaurants and bars.
